Quality Control & Certifications
We are passionate about supplying products which are “fit for purpose“ to our customers. Our products are manufactured to the highest quality standards against agreed and approved product specifications and tested in our on-site Nottingham laboratory.
Cole Fabrics' carries the Oeko-Tex Class I (Standard 100) Certification for Confidence In Textiles for many of the labeling fabrics and ribbons that we supply.
Confidence In Textiles
‘Confidence in Textiles’ has been the motto of the independent test institutes of the International Oeko-Tex® Association since 1992, with their tests for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 for textile products of all types that pose no risk to health.
For companies in the textile and clothing industry, the Oeko-Tex® criteria catalog provides for the very first time a uniform, scientifically founded evaluation standard for the human ecological safety of textiles, against the background of the globalised and extremely fragmented nature of the textile manufacturing chain.
The Oeko-Tex® label indicates to interested end users the additional benefits of tested safety for skin-friendly clothing and other textiles. In this way, the test label provides an important decision-making tool when purchasing textiles.
You can get further information from www.oeko-tex.com.
Please see our certificate for details of the qualities that have been identified to meet this standard.
The cost of testing every product against this standard is prohibitive. If you feel that this is an important requirement for your intended use, please contact us to discuss how we can help.
ISO 9001:2008 is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
